User Guide

This molality (b) units conversion tool will convert values for the number of moles of solute per unit mass of solution into any combination of molar amount or mass units.

Molality, which is also known as molal concentration is a measure of the total number of moles, or the equivalent molar value in a quantity of solute, divided by the total mass of the solution.

The SI unit used for molality is moles per kilogram (mol/kg).

In addition to the common units used for calculating molal concentration, such as moles per kilogram (mol/kg), micromoles per kilogram (µmol/g), millimoles per kilogram (kmol/kg) or moles per gram (mol/g), you can also select other molar amount units combined with volumetric units, which are not typically used in calculating molality values.
