OEM Design

Transducer elements with and without signal conditioning electronics for incorporating into OEM design instrumentation products to be integrated into systems to monitor or control the measured parameter.

Achieve superior performance and streamline your product development with our bespoke transducer elements. These core sensing components are tailored to your exact specifications, offering unparalleled flexibility in output signals, mechanical housings, and electrical interfaces, ensuring perfect integration into your OEM instrumentation design.

  • OEM Millivolt Output Pressure Transducers - OEM millivolt output pressure transducers offer design engineers a versatile solution for integrating pressure sensing into custom instrumentation and equipment.
  • OEM Design Submersible Sensor and Instrument Probes - Highly customizable submersible level, pressure, and temperature probes specifically designed for OEMs developing data logging and telemetry solutions.
  • OEM Custom Design Sensors - OEM custom design sensors provide tailored solutions for unique measurement challenges in industrial and research applications.

Transducer elements specifically tailored for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) instrumentation products. These are not off-the-shelf, general-purpose sensors; instead, they are core sensing components designed for deep integration into a larger system, whether that system’s purpose is monitoring or control of the measured parameter. The focus is on the element itself, available with or without integrated signal conditioning electronics, offering maximum flexibility for the design engineer.

Adaptability

These sensing components offer a high degree of adaptability, allowing them to be seamlessly incorporated into diverse applications. Examples include highly specific areas such as subsea probes requiring specialized pressure and corrosion resistance, precision gas analyzers demanding extremely low drift, and medical instrumentation where biocompatibility and miniaturization are paramount. Further specialized applications include precise chemical detection, robust tank level management systems, and sophisticated robotics requiring feedback control. Beyond these, usage also extends to, precision data logging, environmental monitoring equipment, and specialized automotive sensors.

Output Signal

The customization process begins with the core sensor element selection, optimized for the specific physical parameter being measured. This is followed by a collaborative design process to meet your exact specifications. Output signal flexibility is crucial, and these elements are available with a range of options to match your system architecture. These options include raw millivolt outputs for maximum design control, amplified voltage or current loop (e.g., 4-20mA) signals for robust industrial environments, and digital outputs (e.g., I2C, SPI) for direct interfacing with microcontrollers.

Featured adaptable custom transducers for oem design

  • Sonde OEM water depth sensor for 300m deep borehole - We are looking to integrate a pressure sensor into the bottom of a Sonde. The sensor will be used to monitor the water depth in a borehole up to a maximum of 300m.
  • Cost-effective hydrostatic sensor for OEM diesel fuel management systems up to 2 metres - The IMTG is specifically designed for large quantity OEM customers which manufacture and install content management systems for fuel storage tanks.

Mechanical Packaging

The mechanical integration is entirely bespoke. Whether your design requires specially molded plastic housings to meet complex geometries, or custom-machined metal components for high-pressure or high-temperature environments, the sensor element’s physical form factor is tailored precisely to your specifications. Material selection is also a key part of the customization process, ensuring compatibility with the operating environment and any relevant regulatory requirements.

Electrical Connections

Electrical interfacing is addressed with a similar level of customization. Options range from basic solder pads, allowing direct connection to your own circuitry, to flexible printed circuits (FPCs). These FPCs can incorporate not only the sensor element but also compensation components (e.g., temperature compensation) and signal conditioning electronics. This integrated approach simplifies assembly, reduces component count, and improves overall system reliability. The FPCs can terminate in a variety of industry-standard connectors, streamlining the manufacturing process. The customization allows for the easy assembly of the component during the manufacture of your product.
