This fuel consumption calculator will take the quantity of liquid fuel used and the distance travelled by a petrol, gasoline or diesel engine powered motor vehicle, and determine the average fuel consumption performance for that journey.

FC = V / d

Fuel Volume Used

Enter the total quantity of fuel used during the trip.

Distance Travelled

Enter the total distance of the trip in any units.

Fuel Consumption

This is the average amount of fuel used per unit of distance travelled calculated from the entered journey volume and distance. Volume per distance fuel consumption is often used to compare the fuel efficiency of motor vehicles which have engines that run on liquid fuels such as petrol, gasoline or diesel.
