Formula

The formula used by this calculator to determine the piston cylinder bore diameter from force and pressure is:

r = ø / 2

A = π · r2 = π  · (ø / 2)2

A = π · ø2 / 4

ø = √  (4 · A / π)

P = F / A

A = F / P

ø = √  (4 · F / (π · P))
