User Guide

This tool will calculate the average volumetric flow rate of a gas or liquid in any units from the total volume of gas or liquid that has flowed pass in a measured period of time. After the flow has been calculated two conversion scales will be be generated showing a range of values for volume and time versus flow rate.

The volumetric flow rate formula used by this calculator is:

Q = V / t

Symbols

  • V = Volume
  • t = Time

Volume Transferred

Enter the total volume of gas or liquid that has been transferred and select the appropriate volumetric unit.

Time Taken

Enter the amount of time that passed for the quantity of gas or liquid that has been transferred. Select the appropriate units of time.

Volumetric Flow Rate

This is the calculated average flow rate of the gas or liquid expressed as a volume per unit of time.
