User Guide
This measurement to ratiometric millivolt output converter provides a way to determine the output reading and range of a ratiometric millivolt signal sensing device from any measurement input, millivolts per volt span sensitivity, zero offset and supply voltage. A conversion scale graphic for each measurement input range and ratiometric millivolt output range combination entered is also displayed underneath the calculated values.
Measurement Input Parameters
Unit
Enter the measurement unit for the quantity which is being measured , e.g. newtons, tonnes, micrometres, psi, degrees Celsius, etc…
Reading
This is the quantity measured that you wish to convert to a millivolt output reading.
Full Range
Enter the maximum quantity that the ratiometric mV/V signal sensing device will measure.
Millivolt Output Parameters
Supply Voltage (V)
This is the excitation voltage used to power the ratiometric mV/V signal sensing device. The millivolt output of a ratiometric mV/V signal sensing device is linearly proportional to the excitation voltage.
Span Sensitivity (mV/V)
This is the full span output per supply volt characteristic for the ratiometric mV/V signal sensing device.
Zero Offset (mV)
This is the measured output of the ratiometric mV/V signal sensing device, powered by the specified supply voltage, without any measurement input applied.
Full Range Output (mV)
This is the full range output of the ratiometric mV/V signal sensing device in millivolts, powered by the specified supply voltage, with the maximum measurable quantity applied.
Output Reading (mV)
This is the expected ideal ratiometric mV/V signal sensing device output in millivolts for the measured quantity specified.
