This battery energy usage calculator will take the total distance you want to travel and the consumption for the battery powered electric vehicle (EV, BEV) to be used, and estimate the battery energy required to complete the journey.

Distance Travelled

Enter the total distance of the intended journey in any units.

Electric Vehicle Consumption

Enter the average battery energy per unit of distance performance for the electric vehicle. Energy per ditance consumption is often used to compare the efficiency of battery electric vehicles, which have electric motors, typically powered by rechargeable lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries.

Battery Energy

This is the estimated total battery energy which will be used, based on the entered total trip distance and average consumption for the all-electric vehicle that will be driven.
