The IMP Water Pressure Sensor is designed for testing the input and output pressure of water pumps up to 30 psi absolute.
This robust sensor is capable of measuring both positive pressure and vacuum, making it ideal for comprehensive pump analysis. For instance, by blocking the pump input, the IMP sensor can accurately measure the maximum vacuum pressure the pump can generate. This is critical for applications where the pump needs to lift water from a depth or create suction.
The IMP Water Pressure Sensor is equipped with a G1/4 male DIN 3852 process connection with a snubber. The snubber is a critical component that dampens pressure pulsations and spikes, protecting the sensor from potential damage and ensuring stable readings even in dynamic pressure environments. This is particularly important in water pump testing where pressure fluctuations are common.
