500 psig 4-20mA anhydrous ammonia pressure sensor for controlling refrigeration condenser fans and pumps

An all welded stainless steel pressure sensor for refrigeration condenser fan and pump control use to measure pressure of anhydrous ammonia (NH3) over a range of 0 to 500 psi g from the 1/4 NPT male process connection, and sending the corresponding 4-20mA signal through the DIN plug electrical connection.

This DMP 335 pressure sensor is specifically designed for demanding refrigeration applications involving anhydrous ammonia (NH3). This all-welded stainless steel sensor provides accurate pressure measurement in the range of 0 to 500 psig, making it ideal for controlling condenser fans and pumps to optimize system performance. The robust construction ensures compatibility with the corrosive nature of anhydrous ammonia, a crucial factor for long-term reliability and safety in refrigeration systems.

A key feature of the DMP 335 is its all-welded design, which eliminates potential leak points that could occur with traditional threaded connections. This is particularly important in ammonia refrigeration systems where leaks can pose significant safety and environmental hazards. The sensor’s stainless steel construction further enhances its durability and resistance to corrosion, ensuring accurate and reliable pressure readings even in harsh environments.

This pressure sensor is commonly employed in industrial refrigeration settings such as food processing plants, cold storage warehouses, and chemical processing facilities. It plays a critical role in maintaining optimal operating pressures within the refrigeration system, ensuring efficient heat exchange and preventing equipment damage. By accurately measuring the pressure of anhydrous ammonia, the DMP 335 enables precise control of condenser fans and pumps, optimizing energy consumption and extending the lifespan of the refrigeration system.

The sensor’s 4-20mA output signal provides a standardized and reliable means of transmitting pressure data to control systems. This analog signal is widely used in industrial automation and allows for easy integration with various monitoring and control devices. The DIN plug electrical connection ensures a secure and robust connection, further enhancing the sensor’s reliability in industrial environments.
