User Guide
This tool will calculate any parameter from the formula for Einstein’s mass-energy equivalence E=mc², which includes the rest mass and intrinsic energy associate with an object.
Formulas
The formulas used by this Einstein’s mass-energy equivalence calculator to determine each individual parameter are:
m = E / c²
E = m · c²
Symbols
- m = Object’s rest mass
- c = Speed of light in a vacuum
- E = Object’s intrinsic energy
Rest Mass (m)
This is the total mass of the object when it is at rest.
Intrinsic Energy (E)
This is the total energy that would be released if all the object’s rest mass was converted to energy.
