Change the answer mode for this tool by selecting the object's rest mass (m), or intrinsic energy (E) as the parameter to calculate instead

## User Guide

This tool will calculate any parameter from the formula for Einstein’s mass-energy equivalence, which includes the rest mass and intrinsic energy associate with an object.

### Formulas

The formulas used by this Einstein’s mass-energy equivalence calculator to determine each individual parameter are:

m = E / c²

E = m · c²

#### Symbols

- m = Object’s rest mass
- c = Speed of light in a vacuum
- E = Object’s intrinsic energy

### Rest Mass (m)

This is the total mass of the object when it is at rest.

### Intrinsic Energy (E)

This is the total energy that would be released if all the object’s rest mass was converted to energy.
