Low range differential pressure sensor with rangeable 4-20mA current loop or amplified voltage output signal in pressure ranges from 1.6mb up to 6 bar differential.
The DRS differential pressure transducer can be used with either non-condensing clean gases or low viscosity liquids & condensing dirty gases with the silicone oil filled option.
The digital electronics can easily be configured to set-up a turndown range of up to 5 to 1, compound range, elevated zero, square root output for flow measurement, customer specified non-linear output, filter jump out and RC time constant adjustment.
The DRS low differential pressure transmitter is designed for use in industrial, HVAC, laboratory, automotive test and process applications.

Product Description
Sensor technology
The DRS low differential pressure transmitter includes a hermetically sealed highly sensitive LVDT position sensor which is coupled with an all welded stainless steel diaphragm. This differential pressure sensor is protected from high overload pressures by a mechanical stop on each side of the sensing diaphragm. The oil filled WS type is compatible with liquids and is overpressure protected internally so that the surface tension of the liquid has minimal impact on the performance of the sensor.
Pressure ranges & accuracy
The pressures ranges covered by the DRS wet wet differential pressure transmitter are 1.6mb up to 6 bar diff and they are all accurate to +/-0.25% of maximum span including linearity, hysteresis, and repeatability.
Signal conditioning
The DRS dp cell has digital electronics which offer a choice of 4-20mA current loop, 0-5 or 0-10V amplified voltage output signals. Any full scale range can be turned down by up to 5 to 1 and the zero point can be offset to any point between -50 and +100% of full scale. This differential pressure transducer can also be configured for flow measurement applications with a selection of square root non-linear outputs.
Application features
Measuring low pressures requires very sensitive diaphragms and many of the sensor technologies that are available are only compatible with low humidity gases.
If you are looking to measure very low pressures of humid gases or a liquid it is advisable to make sure that the sensors construction will resist corrosion and no electrical connections are vulnerable to moisture damage over time. The size and shape of the internal volume close to the sensing diaphragm is also important, because the surface tension effects of a fluid become more prominent at lower pressure ranges.

Measuring 700 to 60000 Pa differential air pressure
Please provide some technical information regarding the DRS pressure differential transducer, my application requires the transducer to monitor the differential pressure of air. The pressure of the measured medium is between 155,000 Pa abs and 7,560 Pa abs. The pressure differential between the two measurement points is a maximum of 60,000Pa and a minimum of 700 Pa. Is the DRS pressure differential transducer capable of measuring these differences in pressure?
Yes the DRS can measure the differential pressure described. We would suggest a 1000 mbar (100,000 Pa) differential pressure range, which will measure to an accuracy of +/- 250 Pa.
