The XMPi is a HART-enabled hydrostatic level sensor specifically designed for level measurement in tanks and vessels. This variant of the XMPi pressure transmitter offers a versatile solution for industries requiring accurate and reliable level monitoring in challenging environments.

One of the key advantages of the XMPi is its HART communication capability. This feature allows for remote configuration, calibration, and diagnostics, significantly simplifying maintenance and troubleshooting procedures. This particular XMPi model is factory calibrated for a hydrostatic level range of 0 to 7 meters of water column (mH2O). The sensor’s robust construction, featuring a stainless steel 316L diaphragm and process connection, ensures compatibility with a wide range of fluids, including corrosive liquids commonly found in industrial settings.

The use of a silicone oil fill in the XMPi allows for operation in high-temperature environments up to 125°C. This makes it suitable for applications involving hot liquids or those located in areas with elevated ambient temperatures. Additionally, the sensor’s ATEX Intrinsic Safety rating ensures safe operation in hazardous areas where explosive atmospheres may be present.

The XMPi is designed for external mounting on tanks and vessels. Its compact size and G1/2 male DIN3852 process connection facilitate easy installation and integration into existing process systems. The sensor’s 4 to 20 mA output signal, combined with HART communication, provides seamless compatibility with modern process control systems and data acquisition equipment.
