I am interested in a controller and datalogger for a vacuum testing plant I need to build for our quality lab. The instrumentation part will consist of a vacuum range pressure transmitter with a 4-20 mA output, a vacuum regulator and a flow transmitter. I will need to read and log two variables, pressure and flow, and send an analog signal to a pressure regulator device. I need a USB port, in order to save data on a memory device, and also a port to interface with a computer?
We would suggest using a MultiCon CMC99 controller and datalogger fitted with an input module to measure the 4-20mA output of the vacuum and flow transmitter, and an output module for controlling the vacuum regulator.
The controller can be configured with a PID control function to control the vacuum pressure in your test rig.
For datalogging there is the option for a front panel USB port which can be used to transfer measurements that have been stored in the Multicon CMC99 memory.
A software package for installing on a PC is also provided for populating tables and plotting graphs.
