Product Description

The Titan TPT millivolt output pressure transducer has been developed using a Ceramic (96% Aluminium Oxide Al2O3) piezo-resistive sensing element housed in a robust stainless steel housing. It has the option of an integrated Cable outlet or an M12 x 1, 4-Pin connector both offering up to IP67 ingress protection and also standard connectors such as mini DIN & large DIN 43650 right angled connectors. We also have the option of an integrated MIL-C spec or customer specific connectors.

The internal PCB uses passive components to ensure the low power consumption is maintained, ideal for battery powered applications. Being passive also makes it suitable for applications that require a fast dynamic measurement of pressure with natural frequency response up to 75kHz. Outputs include raw mV/V, rationalised 2mV/V, 3mV/V or 10mV/V and 20mV/V which can be powered from 2 – 30V dc supply.

Product Help

Operational lifetime

What is the operation life of this sensor?

This depends on the type of usage. This is because the amount of pressure cycling, temperature cycling, vibration and shock the pressure sensor will be subjected to over its service life is not easily predictable. All of these factors will affect the pressure sensor’s performance to varying degrees depending on amplitude and frequency.

Custom pressure range exceeding maximum 600 bar range

As far as I tell from the data sheet of TPT Titan Pressure Transducer, the maximum range is 600 bar. Is it possible to customize and supply a 700 bar range?

It is possible to do 700 bar as a custom range, but the overpressure rating will be limited to 850 bar.

Shock and vibration rating

What is the shock and vibration rating for this transducer to without compromising mechanical stability?

The TPT is rated to 10 g RMS over 25…2000 Hz for vibration, and 500 g / 1 msec for shock.
