This 4-20mA pressure sensor with PVDF, ceramic, and FKM construction is designed for water with high sulfuric acid content up to 10%. Ideal for chemical processing and wastewater treatment.

The DMK 331 pressure sensor is specifically designed for demanding applications where water with a high sulfuric acid content needs to be monitored. This robust sensor is built with materials that can withstand the corrosive nature of sulfuric acid, ensuring reliable performance and longevity even in harsh environments.

A key feature of this sensor is its PVDF process connection. PVDF, or polyvinylidene fluoride, is a thermoplastic fluoropolymer known for its exceptional resistance to strong acids, bases, and solvents. This makes it an ideal choice for applications involving aggressive chemicals like sulfuric acid. The sensor’s ceramic diaphragm further enhances its compatibility with sulfuric acid. Ceramic materials are inherently resistant to corrosion and offer excellent stability in various chemical environments.  

To ensure complete compatibility with high sulfuric acid content water, the DMK 331 incorporates FKM internal seals. FKM, also known as Viton, is a fluoroelastomer that exhibits outstanding resistance to a wide range of chemicals, including acids, oils, and fuels. These seals effectively prevent leaks and maintain the integrity of the sensor, even when exposed to high concentrations of sulfuric acid.  

This particular version of the DMK 331 is designed to measure water pressure in applications with up to 10% sulfuric acid content. This makes it suitable for use in various industrial processes, such as chemical manufacturing, wastewater treatment, and mining operations, where acidic water is commonly encountered. The sensor’s 16 bar gauge pressure range is ideal for monitoring water transfer pressures in these applications.

The 4 to 20 milliamp output signal of the DMK 331 provides a reliable and widely compatible means of transmitting pressure data to control systems or monitoring equipment. This standardized signal allows for easy integration into existing infrastructure and facilitates accurate pressure measurement in challenging environments.
