1 barg pressure sensor, visual display & alarm switch
I’m looking for a pressure sensor that will give a visual display plus have the ability to give high and low alarms via solid-state switches. The range required is 0 to 1barg.
We would suggest the DS201 which is low range device which combines a sensor, display and switches altogether into one compact and integrated package.

Safety trips on mobile pump skids in ATEX zone 1
We are building two skid units for pumping viscous liquid on an offshore rig. Each pump requires two safety devices, one overpressure on the discharge, and one vacuum trip on the suction. These must send a signal to the control panel to shut the pump down. The pumps come with their own safety trips but they are not suitable for a ATEX zone 1 installation.
We would suggest the following DS201 specification for monitoring discharge pressures up to 16 bar, which is ATEX approved for use in zone 1 areas, and will provide a 4-20mA signal along with threshold pnp switch outputs and a LED display for local indication of the discharge pressure.

For the suction pressure we would need either a compound or absolute range because it is a mobile unit and could see a positive pressure up to 4 bar or suction lift of up to 8.5m. If the vacuum carries on for too long then this indicates the pump is blocked and needs to stop.
We would suggest the following DS201 specification with a compound pressure range which is ATEX approved for use in a zone 1 area, and will provide a 4-20mA signal, along with threshold pnp switch outputs and a LED display for local indication of the positive & suction pressure.
