Based around a high integrity all welded thin film strain gauge sensing element, this DMP 334 high range pressure transducer is designed for measuring hydraulic pressures up to 2200 bar (~32,000 psi) on equipment such as hydraulic presses, injection moulding machines and other high range monitoring and control systems.

Product Description
The DMP 334 has a robust all stainless steel construction for use on high range hydraulic equipment. A high performance thin film sensing element provides a strong mechanical design with no oil filled cavities or thin isolation diaphragms.
A choice of 4 different pressure ranges can be selected of 600 bar (8700 psi), 1000 bar (14500 psi), 1600 bar (23,200 psi), 2000 bar (29,000 psi) or 2200 bar (31,900 psi) and each can be specified to provide a 4-20mA or 0-10Vdc conditioned analogue output.
A wide variety of electrical connectors to suit the environment or a particular sites installation standard are available along with a choice of two pressure connectors typically used for very high level pressure connections.

G1/2 fitting with 2000 bar range
Is it possible to have a G1/2″ instead of the M20x1.5 process connection on a 2000 bar pressure range?
Unfortunately the G1/2 EN837 male fitting is not possible for a 2000 bar range.
According to EN 837, the pressure port and the complement, at pressure over 1000 bar must be preferably made of stainless steel with a tensile strength of RP > 260 N/mm² in accordance with DIN 17440. The maximum allowed pressure is 1600 bar
For ranges higher than 1000 bar you will need to use high pressure AE type fittings with M20 x 1.5, M16x1.5 or 9/16″ UNF female thread.
ROV 800 bar hydraulic system at 10m max depth
Would it be possible to use the DMP334 to measure up to 800 bar for part of an ROV hydraulic system which will be used to a depth of 10m. The environment is hazardous so intrinsic safety approval is also required.
It is possible to provide the DMP334 with an IP68 cable gland which is rated to 20 metres depth.

Accuracy of 2000 bar range
We need a hydraulic pressure sensor to measure over 0-2000bar, what sensor would you suggest, and how accurate will it be in bar over this range of pressure?
The DMP334 is a pressure sensor capable of measuring over 0 to 2000 bar and it is accurate to 0.35% full scale as standard. Therefore a 2000 bar range would be accurate to +/-7 bar at room temperature. There is also an improved accuracy option of 0.25% full scale which would be better than +/-5 bar at room temperature.
