Product Description

The DMP 304 is specically designed for extreme high pressure and utilises a highly trusted foil strain gauge technology which is bonded to an all welded stainless steel 17-14PH sensing diaphragm. This high pressure sensing assembly provides a mechanically robust construction to withstand hydraulic pressures up to 600 megapascals.

A choice of 3 high pressure hydraulic connections including metric and UNF female threads which rely on a internal metal to metal seal to provide a high integrity hydraulic seal. The DMP304 has all welded wetted parts and ATEX approved electronics for use in flammable gas or dust environments.

A selection of standard universal electrical connections of DIN and Binder are available for compatibility with most electrical installations.

The DMP-304 has a 4-20mA with or without IS approval output signal for transmitting the measured hydraulic pressure.

To aid calibration, zero and span adjustment screws are provided to tare zero reading and adjust gain over the service life of the transducer to ensure more precise hydraulic measurements.

The DMP304 is primarily used in hydraulic systems, waterjet torching and high pressure petrochemical applications.

The DMP304 is accurate to 0.5% full scale output with adjustable zero and span trim via accessible potentiometers.

I’m putting together a test frame and need a sensor to measure pressure up to 30 ksi. Fluid will be mainly water, with some glycol to prevent freezing at cold test temperature of -40F.

The DMP304 is capable of measuring pressure of media at a minimum temperature of -40 degrees Farenheit, and 30 ksi corresponds to the lowest range available of 2000 bar.

Please can you confirm that the 9/16″ UNF Pressure connection on the DMP304 high range pressure sensor is a 1/4″ High Pressure ‘Autoclave’ type fitting?

Yes, the type of 9/16 inch UNF female process connection used on the DMP304, is also known as a 1/4″ HP-AE, where HP stands for ‘High Pressure’ and AE for ‘Autoclave Engineers‘ type.

40,000 psi pressure indicator

Do you have a digital pressure indicator with an upper limit of 40,000 psi?

We would suggest using a SRP-N118 which is a wall mountable digital display and sensor conditioning unit and combine that with a DMP304 which is capable of measuring up to 40,000psi.

The indicator will require external power, either a mains ac voltage or low dc voltage. The sensor and indicator can be joined together by the installer or alternatively they can be connected in the factory prior to delivery with the required length of cable and configured to read in psi pressure units.

2500 bar or 35,000 psi pressure indicator

We are looking for a pressure indicator to measure over 0 to 2500 bar, the display unit will need to be mains operated and display either psi or bar. Ideally we would like the indicator to be in a self contained box so that it is not necessary to install it in a rack or box. What can you suggest?

The DMP304 is available with a range scaled from 0-2500 bar and a 4-20mA output. The DMP304 could be matched and calibrated with a SRP-N118 which is an IP65 enclosed digital indicator for wall mounting and can be powered by high voltage ac mains supply of 230Vac +/-10%.

The SRP-N118 display can be set-up to read in bar or psi which is set at the factory. It is not possible to configure dual scaling with the SRP-N118, however the CMC99 which is a very versatile indicator with a configurable user interface could be configured with dual scales.
