Immersible low pressure sensor for measuring shallow liquid level with a rangeable 4-20mA current loop or high level voltage output signal in level ranges from 80mmH20 up to 160mH2O.
The CNS Rangeable Low Level Transducers are specifically designed for shallow depth measurements in rivers, weirs and open channels.
The CNS low level sensor has an all stainless steel construction for freshwater use or a duplex stainless steel and Hastelloy C276 construction for use in seawater or brackish water.
The CNS sensing diaphragm is in direct contact with the water and has a large surface area which makes it very sensitive to low pressure measurements.
The CNS smart electronics provide a 5 to 1 turndown ratio for each pressure range, open channel flow options for 3/2 or 5/2 law output and custom non-linear outputs.

Product Description
Applications
CNS rangeable low range level transmitters are specifically designed for shallow depth sensing in reservoir, rivers, streams, water treatment works, weirs, water tanks, filtration pits and open channels.
The CNS low range level sensor has an all stainless steel construction for freshwater use and a duplex stainless steel and Hastelloy C276 construction for protection against corrosion when used in seawater, brackish water or tidal water.
The CNS low range submersible pressure transmitters is ideally suited for shallow depth measurements in water utility & environmental monitoring applications.
Sensing diaphragm
The sensing diaphragm of the CNS low range submersible pressure sensor is in direct contact with the water and has a large surface area which makes it very sensitive to low hydro-static pressures.
Output Signal
The CNS IP68 rangeable level transmitter includes digital electronics which provide a 5 to 1 turndown ratio for each pressure range that can be configured by the user in-situ without any need to use a hand terminal. For open channel flow applications a 3/2 or 5/2 law output and custom non-linear outputs options can be configured prior to delivery.
Pressure Ranges
The CNS shallow water level transmitter is available in the following pressure ranges 400 mmWG, 1.6 mWG, 4 mWG, 10 mWG, 24 mWG, 60 mWG, & 160 mWG and each range can be down-ranged by a factor of 5 to 1.
Accuracy
The 4-20mA current output of the CNS water-proof level sensor is accurate to ±0.25% of maximum span which includes non-linearity, hysteresis and repeatability.
Cable seal
The cable exit from the CNS low range submersible pressure transmitter is completely sealed in polyurethane to provide a high integrity IP68 submersible seal to 200 metres water gauge and the sensor is completely potted to protect the electronics from moisture ingress damage.
Connections
The CNS shallow depth transmitter has a variety of pressure interfaces such as a depth cone, flush face diaphragm to prevent clogging and facilitate easy cleaning, 1 inch BSP flush diaphragm for screwing into a tank wall or a 1/4 inch BSP female for mounting onto a water pipe.
